Midland was originally founded in 1881 as the midway point between Fort Worth and El Paso on the Texas and Pacific Railroad. It wasn’t until oil was discovered on the Permian Basin in 1921 that Midland came into it’s own.

Today, the city of Midland invites people to “Feel The Energy.” Westridge Commons will help them do just that. Conveniently located off of Andrews Highway, it’s the western gateway to Midland, and offers easy access to its fastest growing neighborhoods.
